Hydrophobic Agent
Hydrophobic Agents are chemical additives that are used to repel water. These are used in form of Metallic Soaps and Wax Amide for Construction (Cements & Asphalts) and Coatings (Paints & Lacquers) applications. Over time, the contact with water can in fact compromise the quality of the materials: these damages eventually lead to high costs for maintenance and substitutions of the corrupted surfaces.
